anyone here ever did some research on the "death of god" theological movement in the sixties, connected with names as altizer and van buren?.
summary: the central idea is that god existed once, but literally died for us, emptying himself in the creation of the world, and later completely on the stauros.
as he gave himself without holding anything back, there has been no resurrection as in mainstream theology (radical kenoma).
People have the right to believe what they want to read! I for myself choice to believing in the doctrines of the HOLY bible and JEHOVAH GOD THE ALMIGHTY GOD AND HIS SON JESUS!

Last week, a JW friend of mine brought over a September K.M. He wanted to read what was the topic from the K.M. that I was wondering about. Late in the week, when he went to the meeting he was able to talk with an elder. Also the elder wanted to say something about his reading.
The elder suggested that he read from a new NWT bible because his was out dated (1960) and a scripture was worded different from the newer version.
The JW friend asked, "Why the Faithful and Descreet Slave did not want people to study together?"
The elder stated that the K.M. was going to be talked about later and it had nothing to do with getting together and studying the bible, reading WT, or researching in publications. That he needed to wait until September.
I bet that elder took my friends X to righteousness right off his forehead and off to Judgement he goes!

Yes, and if a religious organization really wants to engage in some interpretative gymnastics, they can claim that twelve figurative tribes of a figurative 12,000 men all equal a literal number of 144,000.
And.... by reading what Upton Sinclair wrote regarding "The Our Race" by the WTBTS the twelve tribes came from Ireland and their were only ten tribes! I would like to find this pamphlet!
More questions: I can see that the purple represented rich and not pharisees. Since people did not go to heaven until after Jesus. It seems a warning for people that if they waste their money on elobrate clothing instead of helping a poor beggar, they will go to a place where they will be thirsty in hell.
I am thinking, thirsty and water represent represents God's truth or holy spirit giving to mankind through out time by Moses and the prophets! His brothers probably would not listen to the truth if Abraham sent them a messager. .
Maybe people are rich because they have the word and if they do not share it with others they will go to hell. This is my personal viewpoint and does not have anything to do with WTBTS views.

Can you tell me the typicial JW answer to why this scripture does not describe the after life, heaven and hell?
J.W. will tell you The King James has many error and that is one of them. I remember reading something about hell and it was different in their NWT.
Now that I have read the King James well I can see why people believe in a tormenting hell.
Russell borrowed the no tormenting hell as well as soul from a fellow named George Storrs. You should read his books or look him up on the net. Good reading material.

Right now, I am going to say it is an example and I can not take it literal, but on the other hand why have the parable if I can not take it literal. I do not think flesh will be able to enter the kingdom of God and Jesus was the first to go to heaven.
Does the bible say there is a purgatory? with brim stones?

Well! I still believe that there is only one true Almighty God and his son Jesus Christ and all the past poetic, mystical, kabala, and evolution writings can not compare to the bible and GOD Almighty words. As a matter of fact, I do not even think mystical writings are as good as daily comic strips.
Your fooling yourself by trying to convince yourself the writings are equal or better than the bible! I just laugh about it! I hooohumm them and shrug my shoulders and go right back to a good bible topic! I think mystical writings are not even as good as well the Harry Potter series. The bible on the other, you can read it over and over and still learn something new.
Some people, I know think they are shocking others with their tatoos, taroo cards, mystical writings, and kabala. It is not

shocking, it is a choice. Most of these people have never read the bible! One does need to read the bible to make some sort of conclusions regarding God after all that is where he is known all those other books are false.
I can not understand people who walk away from churches and from God Almighty? When someone reads mystical writings to find God it is just silly! Your only fooling yourself.

It really is important for Jehovah Witnesses to get together,share information, and do research. Sometimes it takes another person to point out the strange concepts in the WTBTS that another person did not see. Sharing thoughts only makes you more aware of false doctrines. For example: the blood avenger! Rutherford's anti-type and types which are non-sequitor meaning: that which does not follow.
I guess when the Jehovah Witnesses wrote about watch what you read. I believe that I wish I knew nothing about the crazy organization, because it has spiritual emotionally harmed me and many others!

Roller Dave, I am going to say that the blood avenger is Jesus Christ as Michael who is going to avenge the blood of WTBTS brother and sister? I remember something like that! now, i don't know if this has been discussed before, but, with reguard to 1914. let's pretend this prophecy is true.

A hard core JDUB would think that Jesus enter his heavenly Kingdom in Oct 1, 1914 and it took him a year to enter God's heavenly Jerusalem in Oct 1, 1915 when he cleaned out God's heavenly temple then hurled Satan down to earth. In 1918, Times, time and half a times, when he started with his earthly temple and cleaned out Bethel in Oct 1, 1918 to rid God's earthly organization from food from Satan, pyramidology. Rutherford wrote that Jesus visited his earthly temple in 1918 and the proof was the Divine Plan of the Ages. Yet 1955 WT, stated that in 1918 satan's food was pyramidology (Divine Plan of the Ages) and the earthly temple was cleansed out. But it was not untill 1919 that the Kingdom Minstery was stopped in Ontario Canada and publication and preaching was put to a complete stop which proves that satan attacked God organization. Let's not forget the Fullfillment of the two witnesses who lie dead for three and half years in Egypt.
So what would an elder or pioneer JDUB think about your logical thinking! They would think that it does not go with Daniel's prophecy about Satan's League of Nations and God's organization, WTBTS. They would dis-miss your logical questioning with a polite smile and suggest you to read Daniel's Prophecy. LOL

Because, It is not reasonable that God's heavenly temple would need to be cleaned out then three and half years later God's new earthly temple(Bethel) would need to be cleaned. Why would God allow satan to attack his new earthly spiritual temple.

WTWizard! When will they ever learn about dates, even we can add Noah preaching dates and apply it to 1914 of 120 years to come up with oh my 1934! Let see how did that go, oh yeah! ok so i send my father a letter telling him several reasons i do not believe the witnesses are jehovah's organization.i also told my father at the end of the letter that i was setting some boundaries once and for all.
that i would not be emotionally blackmailed or verbally abused anymore that if he wanted to talk to me as a father then i welcome that and if he can't do that then i do not wish to comunicate with him.
i sent it about a week ago and was waiting for all hell to break loose but nothing happend.
